Why We Started ALTAN
ALTAN began with a simple frustration: too much of what's sold as "healthy" in India isn't actually healthy once you read the label. Added sugars hidden behind natural-sounding names. Palm oil used as a cheap stabilizer. Preservatives added so a product can sit on a shelf for a year.
We started ALTAN in Kerala with peanut butter as our first product — because it's a food so many people trust as "healthy," yet so many brands quietly compromise on. We wanted to make one that didn't.
